Reverend Dayle Perry is a native Houstonian. He accepted his call to the ministry of the gospel in 1993. Rev. Perry was licensed to preach the gospel on December 17, 1994. He was also ordained by his former pastor, the late Rev. Dr. Earl Nickerson, on May 26, 2002 at First Brook Cedron Missionary Baptist Church. After the passing of Rev. Nickerson, the church elected Rev. R. L. Small as Pastor and Rev. Dayle Perry as Assistant Pastor. His duties consisted of: Youth Pastor; teaching Bible Study and Sunday School; and preaching God's word to God's people.
In 2006, Rev. Perry was led by God to move his membership to Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church, under the spiritual leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Curtis C. Lewis Sr. Pastor Lewis observed Rev. Perry's dedication and assigned him the following duties: Youth Pastor, Director of Church School, Leader of Bible Study, Prayer Meeting and Teacher of Brotherhood. He also serves as a Church School Educator for the Senior Men's Class.
Rev. Dayle Perry is co-founder and Chairman of "God's Provision for a Purpose"; a non-profit ministry, which was organized in 1997. This ministry strives to reduce recidivism by assisting ex-offenders; men, women and youth with their re-entry into society. Rev. Perry also serves as Parliamentarian of the Acres Homes Super Neighborhood #6 and Vice-President of the Acres Home Citizen Council of the Cora Street Civic Club. He is very active in the church and the community. In recognition of his labor, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity in Religious Services by Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological. Rev. Perry attended G. W. Carver High School, served in the U. S. Marines Corps., earned an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from North Harris Montgomery Community College, attended the College of Biblical Studies in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies, and has a Youth Biblical Counseling Certification from Light University.
Rev. Dayle Perry has been married for over 35 years to Brenda G. Perry. He is a devoted father of four: Brandon, Josalind, Dayle and Denise; and proud grandfather of five: Marquise, Malik, Lamond, Tasia and Genesis.
